RESOURCES: BOOKS AND LIBRARY
We have a book table
in our foyer featuring books of interest on a variety of subjects
dealing with family life, history, biographies, doctrine and issues of a contemporary
nature.
We also have an extensive library with many reference books,
fiction and non-fiction, children’ books, videos and copies
on tape and CD of all past sermons and conferences. Questions
about the library may be directed to Matt Helmus, Church Librarian.
Recommended Reading:
We promote the reading of good books among our members and often recommend a
particular book. The following book is our featured book:
Dr. Trumper’s new book Preaching and Politics: Engagement without Compromise (Wipf and Stock):
“Dr. Trumper has, in this book, done a superb job of identifying the crucial questions which a
preacher must consider with respect to the relationship between preaching and the political process.
Not only that, Dr. Trumper has provided clear Scriptural guidance to all Christians - preachers and
non-preachers alike - who genuinely desire to honor their Lord by living according to the unchanging
Word of God in the rapidly changing world which we now inhabit. And, as with any good sermon,
Dr. Trumper provides concrete examples which bring his analysis to bear with biblical force both
on those with Republican leanings and on those with Democratic leanings. This is an outstanding book!”
