Dr. Tim J. R. Trumper is a native of Wales. Converted to Christ at the age of 15, his

testimony can be read of in God Found Me (Fearn, Ross-shire: Christian Focus

Publications, 2000).

 

After graduating in politics from the University of Wales, Dr. Trumper trained for the ministry

at the Free Church of Scotland College, Edinburgh, before undertaking doctoral studies at

the University Of Edinburgh. During his studies there he spent a year at the Karl-Eberhard

University of Tübingen, Germany. His doctoral dissertation is titled, “An Historical Study of

the Doctrine of Adoption in the Calvinistic Tradition”.

 

Dr. Trumper has preached internationally, taught systematic theology at Westminster

Theological Seminary, Philadelphia, and pastored in south-east Pennsylvania. A regular

panelist on TCT Ministeries' internationally broadcast television program "Ask the Pastor,"

he is also the author of a number of popular and scholarly articles, as well as When History

Teaches Us Nothing: The Recent Reformed Sonship Debate in Context (Eugene, OR: Wipf

and Stock, 2008 and 2009).

 

He is a member of the Evangelical Theological Society and the World

Reformed Fellowship, and has been Senior Minister of Seventh Reformed Church since 2007.
